Prayer Letter, November 3, 2017

Beloved Intercessors;

Philip and I are on our way to Israel! Getting on the plane in Atlanta, I realized I needed to write something for the Prayer Letter. I didn’t have a clue what to write. So I close my eyes and prayed. I didn’t have any ideas of what to write about, so I begin a dialogue with the Lord.

“Holy Spirit, what’s on Your heart?”

“You are.”

“That makes me smile.”

“I love you with an everlasting love, and I designed you to be where you are today, doing what you are doing.”

“Can I share this with our Prayer Letter recipients? Does this apply to them too? I don’t want them to think that I think too highly of myself.”

“It applies to them too, if they are being obedient to My call on their lives. I love each of them with an everlasting love, and I have designed each of them for a specific purpose—My purpose. And I think of you and each of them more highly than you and they do.

“You know the joy and warmth you feel when you watch your child or grandchildren moving into something that shows their individual thought process and creativity. That is a small example of how I feel.

“I designed you to love My Land and My People, and I am pleased with your obedience to go every March and November. I am pleased when you pour yourself into making a life-changing experience for My Saints who long to connect with the Land and People of My Word, making it come alive for them. I put it into your DNA to be a bridge for My Saints to get them rightly related to Israel, My timeclock. That’s why you feel so passionate about it.

“Through the last 40 years you have ‘endured hardness as a good soldier,’ for the joy of what you do for Me and what you participate in with Me. Many times it has not been easy, but you so enjoyed the outcome of happy people from whom their experience could not be taken away that you endured for the joy of your passion.

“That is a tiny picture of how I endured the cross—‘for the joy that was set before Me.’ It gives Me joy to have you serving Me with joyful obedience, but you never could have done it without Me being joyfully obedient to My Father’s will first. It is truly ‘the joy of the Lord that gives you strength.’ My joy is your joy.

“When I spoke to My disciples in the Upper Room just before I fulfilled My passion, I said to them, ‘Herein is My Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be My disciples. As the Father hath loved Me, so have I loved you: continue ye in My love. If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love; even as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love. These things have I spoken unto you, that My joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is My commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you’ (John 15:8-12).

Your joy is connected with My joy, and it is a result of My love. When you love one another with My love, the annoyance factor greatly decreases, because ‘love covers the multitude of sins.’

“‘And above all things have fervent charity [agapé love that provides what the loved one needs] among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins’ (1 Peter 4:8).

Our Father ‘agaped’ the world so much that He willingly gave Me, His only begotten Son, because He saw their need of a Savior. He knew that there was no hope for them—for you—if I didn’t freely give Myself to deliver you all, and all the members of My Body. I couldn’t bear to live for eternity without you, so I endured the cross to redeem you and all of mankind.

I love you, My child! Continue to grow in your love walk and you will help many find Me and My purposes for their lives.”

May the Lord draw you deeper into His love and joyful purposes!

Please pray for us as we go to Israel, that we will bring an atmosphere of love and joy with us to bless His people.

Your handmaiden and servant,

Sharon and Philip
