Beloved Intercessors;

Loving greetings from Brussels, Belgium! By the time you receive this, I will be in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. This trip was unplanned from my point of view, but God knew ahead of time when He was going to take His servant, Joseph Olangi, home to be with Him and saw to it that my schedule allowed me to go. Papa Olangi has been serving the Lord faithfully along with his highly anointed wife, Mama Elisabeth. They took their vows as End-Time Handmaiden and Servant after they fasted at Engeltal in 1993. The next time we saw them was in 1994 when they arrived unannounced with over 70 delegates from the Congo for the World Convention. Nearly every year since then they have sent a team to be with us and bless the Lord and the rest of us with the anointing that they carry.

The Lord has given the Olangis a wonderful discipleship program that takes people out of the darkness of their ancestry into the Glorious light of the Kingdom of God, and prepares them to be missionaries to the Nations. They have thousands of missionaries in 168 branches in 54 nations of the world. Their average Sunday afternoon service is attended by 50,000! Over a thousand of their members have taken their vows as End-Time Handmaidens and Servants. Here is the Olangi ministry’s internet TV channel: www.canalcvv.net . I am going at this time with the “ministry of presence,” to bring them comfort and encouragement in this time of transition as they have lost their patriarch. Please pray for me in my journey, and pray for them in their mixture of joy for Papa’s new, glorious life, and sorrow in their loss of him on Earth.

“Outpouring for the Harvest”: The day after I return from Congo, we will start the Harvest Gathering in the Ozark Glory Tabernacle with Sigi Oblander and Stephanie Schureman. We expect it to be a glorious time around the theme of “Outpouring for the Harvest.” Beloved, we are beginning to experience the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that is going to grow into something that has never been seen before on Earth! Come and get the anointing that you will need for the days to come! You can still register online, or call us at 870-446-2252.

Yes, we will be live streaming it, if you absolutely cannot make it. But there is something about being there, and paying the price to get there, that gives you a greater anointing than you can receive via your device! To watch online because you can’t get there will bring an anointing in your life, but if you can get there, and choose not to make the effort, you will be missing something that God wanted to give you. Many times a huge part of the experience of being there includes establishing new relationships that will endure through eternity. You develop relationships sitting at the table, in the prayer room, the bookstore, and the dorm. Don't miss out on what God has for you!

Cure for Burnout: From time to time we hear about ministers having a “breakdown” of sorts that they call “burnout.”  I’m not being critical in any way, for I know that our adversary is stalking around like a lion in search of anyone he can devour. We are all on his hit list, because he hates the human race. We were made in the image of God, our Creator, whom he hates, so he is bent on taking as many as he can to hell with him. And if he can’t get us to go there, he’ll do everything he can to keep us from accomplishing what God sent us to earth to do so that we won’t bring our Father the glory due His Name. Perhaps he will just keep us so busy with ten pots on four burners so that we never actually accomplish anything, or he’ll keep us uptight or offended, and suggest topics to get us grumbling in our minds. Daniel tells us that his job description is to “wear out the saints.” That’s “burnout.”

I want to encourage you not to become a victim of this kind of attack. The Lord’s heart toward us and His goal in growing us as His disciples is to be able to sanctify us completely by the washing of the water of the Word in order to present us blameless at His coming (Ephesians 5:24-27, 1 Thessalonians 5:23). The challenge comes in the trials of our faith—often multiple times each day. How would our Father have us meet these challenges? “Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing,” (James 1:2-4).

Peter exhorts us this way: “Dear friends, don’t be surprised when the fiery ordeal comes among you to test you as if something unusual were happening to you. Instead, rejoice as you share in the sufferings of the Messiah, so that you may also rejoice with great joy at the revelation of His glory. If you are ridiculed for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you….So those who suffer according to God’s will should, while doing what is good, entrust themselves to a faithful Creator” (1 Peter 4:12-14,19 HCSB).

We have to maintain our joy in order not to be overwhelmed and defeated by our foe! We must “Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing” (Psalm 100:2). Thankfulness will keep you in the will of God, according to 1 Thessalonians 5:18. If you haven’t recently read Merlin Carothers’ classic book, Prison to Praise, now would be a good time to get it out of your bookcase and refresh yourself on it.

In Deuteronomy 28, Moses spells out the blessings for obeying the Lord and the curses to which disobedience opens the door. After a long list of curses, verse 47 says, “Because you didn’t serve the LORD your God with joy and a cheerful heart, even though you had an abundance of everything,” he then continues with another long list of curses! Grumbling obedience isn’t going to get you the blessings—only joyful obedience will!

So if you want to defeat your greatest enemy and prevent “burnout,” put on your dancing shoes, grab your tambourine, and begin to sing to the Lord with joyous thanks and praise! You enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise (Psalm 100:4), and that puts you in His Presence. So once you get into His Presence, you discover that “in His Presence is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11). And then you prove Nehemiah 8:10, “The joy of the LORD is your strength”! That is the kind of submission to God that precedes resisting the devil in the way that will cause him to flee! And when he flees, so does the burnout!

I would encourage you to listen to the message that Dr. Sam Matthews preached on September 24, called “Joyful Perseverance” on his church’s website: http://myfamilyoffaith.com/sermons/?sermon_id=307 . Our staff listened to it for our devotions on Monday and were all blessed and encouraged. I’ve been meditating on that sermon and this developed in my spirit. Be encouraged and overcome your enemy! Let us pray fervently for our brothers and sisters who are experiencing “burnout,” that the Lord will restore to them the joy of their Salvation (Yeshua) and uphold them with His free spirit (Psalm 51:12).

Dr. Matthews spoke for the Mighty Warriors Conference in September and brought two really tremendous messages. Dr. Flo Ellers also ministered in a powerful anointing, and the Lord also gave me a word. See the list of available CDs and DVDs of those meetings.

Appeal for Help: You know how sometimes you put off dealing with a problem until it backs you into a corner? We have arrived in the corner in our accounting department! We have replaced computers through recent years mostly as they have broken down, but we still have a few that are running with Windows XP, which hasn’t been supported since 2014. Technology continues to develop and we have just tried to manage using older programs. However, our accounting program has continued to develop and just got beyond what will work on our accounting computers. We are stuck and have to get updated ones. We have found two refurbished ones that we can get for $736. Sandy, our head accountant suggested that if seven people would give $100, we could get back on track. By the same token, if about thirty people would give $25, or 74 would give $10—well, you get the picture. So I’m asking you to pray for this need to be met, and if you are moved to give toward the need, we would be very grateful!

We also need two additional computers for the same price of $736 – one for our audio/video department, and one for Quintessa Lawrence’s office, as she coordinates this Prayer Letter and helps with some graphic design of various mailings. At the moment, though, the most urgent need is in our accounting department.

Although I am always reticent to mention a need for finances, I would like to ask you to pray for those who would be willing to send regular, monthly support for missions, our Israel ministry, and “wherever needed.” We are so grateful for each gift, regardless of the size, because each contribution makes a difference and helps us as we obey God. Please pray for those who will joyfully obey Him!

Your handmaiden and servant,
Sharon and Philip
